Utah Region SCCA Auto-X
Auto-X is the most fun, cost-effective and safest way to get into racing. It requires enormous amounts of skill and teaches a lot, yet all you need is your street car to do it. Did we mention it was fun? Auto-X takes place in a parking lot on a course outlined by cones. The course has a start and finish that are separate from each other, so unlike a race track, you aren’t going around in circles or doing laps, you do one run, and then get back in line to go again. Each run will be timed so you can see how your are improving (or not), and SCCA instructors will be on hand if you feel like picking up some pointers.
Schedule (subject to change without notice)
The SCCA Auto-X will run from 9am to 7pm on Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sunday. There will be a one-hour lunch each day.
Format
The SCCA Auto-X will be run in hourly run groups of 25 cars each. The course will be approximately 40-seconds in length so each car will be able to do 3 laps.
